Strength and conditioning coach & personal trainer Sam provides highly personalised, evidence-driven training and coaching to athletes and non-athletes alike. Sam works with people across a range of different sports, but specialises in strength and conditioning for outdoor athletes - road cyclists, mountain bikers, climbers, runners and more. 

Sam has been obsessed with playing and understanding sport, training, health and how the body works all his life, something that led him to a PhD in cancer and cell biology many moons ago. Previously a county and university level badminton player and coach, Sam’s passion these days lies with having hard adventures outside, on a bike, climbing or snowboarding. 

Sam’s varied and at times stressful career means he knows how difficult it is to keep fit and strong in and around the pressures of life, and he blends scientific approaches with an understanding of the practical realities of life to make your training work for you.
